Greek Mythology

Greek Mythology is one of my favorite topics to read every time I go to the library to kill time. Greek mythology gives major influence to their own cult and rituals in Ancient Greek civilization. Greek myth explains the origins of the world and details the lives and adventures of a wide variety of gods, goddesses, heroes, and other mythological creatures. One of my favorite gods in Greek mythology is Zeus god of sky and thunder, ruler of Mount Olympus and the King of the Gods. I think Zeus is one of the most famous gods among gods in Greek myths. His symbols are the thunderbolt, oak, eagle and bull. The first time I saw Zeus' picture in an encyclopedia I was amazed by the way they picture him holding a thunder bolt and pointing below the ground. Definitely an icon for supremacy and leadership that’s why he's my favorite.
