My Bohol Chocolate Hills Trip

Chocolate hills is one of the most famous signature tourist attractions in the Philippines, in fact it is the main attraction in Bohol. My chocolate hills experience was one of the most exciting ones I’ve ever had. Me and my family arrived at the site where people were given a chance to view a a place prepared by the tourism department of Bohol, which actually made visitors appreciate deeper the various attractions in Bohol. I was amazed how both foreign and local tourists would come and go to the place just to witness the unique structure of the land. There are two ways to get to the site, either upwards by the stairs or through the zig zag flat way. We took the zig zag path cause it's easier compared to the stairway path which is approximately 100 steps to follow on, and my father is too old to do that. Upon arriving at the top you can really appreciate the magnificence of the hills that look like giant moles. There you will see many foreign and local tourists taking pictures of it. Also, a number of foreign tourists prefer to take the stair path instead and have fun witnessing and exploring the extraordinary rolling terrain of haycock hills. Anyway, after a few minutes of sight seeing from the top view, my father decided to take the stairs upon going down. We also went for the local shops and bought Bohol t-shirt trademarks. Then we took a ride going to the tarsier sanctuary and then on to Loboc river floating restaurant. The Loboc River Cruise is an added entertainment for our lunch, and not only is the food delicious but it makes a whole fun experience. Among other things we did besides eating sea foods served by the locals are listening to live acoustic music and singing a mix of English and local Bohol songs. My trip in Bohol Chocolate Hills with my family is one of the best and I know I'm definitely going back there.

White Water Rafting Experience in Cagayan de Oro

Tuesday, November 18, 2008 at 11:00 PM

I’m going to talk about my first white water rafting experience in Cagayan de Oro Philippines. At first I was so blank when I heard about water rafting all I knew was it involved riding a rubber boat and do a lot of paddling and there you go.

Rafting is used as way of transportation of people and food long ago. Now white water rafting is used as a recreational activity using a raft to explore a river or around the water. It is usually done in different types or degree of water to excite and thrill the emotion of its passenger. In my experience you must always follow the instructions of your guide, always remember the introductory instruction kind of paddling skills, what you should do if you fall from the raft, and always listen to the guide.

Choose a guide who is professional, outgoing and funny for you to enjoy rafting. Also choose to be with adventurous friends or crew. Part of my experience is swimming with the rapids, then I realized never to face the rapids or else you can drink a lot of water haha! Some rapids are dangerous but some are okay only the experienced rafting tour guide knows where and when it is safe to swim or jump.

My friends and I definitely enjoyed our first rafting adventure. Special thanks to my friend Kim S. Domingo for giving us very nice experience.

Its getting near the most awaited boxing event of the year, the battle that almost everyone in the world waiting to see. Even I is so excited to see the match, I would say Manny Pacquiao is my favorite Filipino boxer. Manny “PACMAN” Paquiao born December 17, 1978, birth place Bukidnon, birth name: Emmanuel Dapidran Pacquiao, stance south paw, nationality Philippines, residence General Santos City, Cotabato del Sur, Philippines, division lightweight, height 5′ 6½″, reach 67“ with a record of 47 wins with 35 knock out, 3 lost and 2 draw.

Oscar de la Hoya born February 4, 1973, nicknamed "The Golden Boy" is an Mexican American boxer and promoter who won a gold medal at the Barcelona Olympic Games. Rated at Super Welterweight, height 5 feet 10.5 inch, nationality Mexican American, birth date February 4, 1973, birth place East Los Angeles, CA, stance Orthodox. Boxing record 39 wins with 30 wins by knock out, and 5 losses.

Even though lots of people saying that Manny Pacquiao will loose to De La Hoya due to height advantage and size but I think it doesn’t matter. For me only the best fighter will win. Both are good boxer, both willing to win and exciting to watch, definitely we wont be bored. Lets get it on…

Ares God of War

Ares god of war in greek mythology, son of Zues and Hera. Greek name ArhV, transliteration ArĂªs, latin spelling Ares, and his Roman Name Mars. A battle lust god, picture as bearded warrior dressed in battle arms, or a nude beardless youth with helm and spear in Greek art. Ares symbol is vulture, being god of war also known as god of blood lust or slaughter personified. Being one of the gods, Ares definitely the bad boy among gods in Mount Olympus, the hot temper one, always distrusted and longing for war. Ares had a famous affair with Aphrodite is the goddess of beauty, love and fertility soon caught by Hephaistos husband of Aphrodite who invited the olympian gods and goddesses to witness the affair. Ares and Aphrodite caught in an embarrassing position and all the Gods came down to watch. Some of the gods were not happy witnessing the situation but some of the gods laughed while some commented on the beauty of Aphrodite, some gods remarked that they would trade places with Ares, and everyone laughed.

Greek Mythology

Greek Mythology is one of my favorite topics to read every time I go to the library to kill time. Greek mythology gives major influence to their own cult and rituals in Ancient Greek civilization. Greek myth explains the origins of the world and details the lives and adventures of a wide variety of gods, goddesses, heroes, and other mythological creatures. One of my favorite gods in Greek mythology is Zeus god of sky and thunder, ruler of Mount Olympus and the King of the Gods. I think Zeus is one of the most famous gods among gods in Greek myths. His symbols are the thunderbolt, oak, eagle and bull. The first time I saw Zeus' picture in an encyclopedia I was amazed by the way they picture him holding a thunder bolt and pointing below the ground. Definitely an icon for supremacy and leadership that’s why he's my favorite.
